Job Purpose:
Under the direction of the Director of Accounting & Finance, this position will be responsible for performing both routine and non- routine financial reporting functions for all corporate entities.

Duties:

Assists with all aspects of financial reporting and the preparation of financial forecasts/budgets.
Assists with annual and monthly financial statements and other reports and projects, as necessary.
Participate in the month-end close process, perform monthly duties assigned to facilitate timely close, including journal entries and reporting.
Review balance sheet accounts and prepare reconciliations to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues.
Identify and develop reports to help establish and track key metrics.
Perform special research and projects as required to help make key decisions.
Prepare and complete reports and projects as requested on an ad-hoc basis.
Provide input to ensure accounting systems and processes are continually streamlined via process improvement to achieve greater efficiencies and accuracy.
Review business units and track current financial data to identify inconsistencies.
Work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional departments including sales, operations, logistics, shipping and receiving.
Ability to work proactively, prioritize tasks and to manage time effectively.

Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Two years of financial analysis experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the capacity to manipulate raw data through Pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, SUMPRODUCT and similar functions, is required
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
In depth knowledge of accounting principles/practices, internal controls, and reporting requirements
Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance, and ability to work overtime, nights and weekends if needed.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; with responsive feedback at all times.
Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
