Packing Material Coordinator

Under the direction of the Packing Material Manager, this position will provide a full range of administrative support for the Materials department
Duties:
  • Collaborate with the sales department to establish a forecast of materials needed
  • Create purchase orders and follow up until materials are received
  • Verify quantities received by matching proofs of delivery and adjusting if necessary
  • Work with operations to maintain accurate daily inventory of materials
  • Issue materials in ERP system daily/weekly based on usage reported by Operations
  • Review system Inventory balances vs physical inventory at all facilities and ensure all usage is being accounted for in a timely manner and cycle count adjustments are minor
  • Ensure that all customers are charged for material in a timely manner
  • Work with accounting and the Packing Material Manager to review financials to verify that all revenue and expenses have been accounted for in a timely manner
  • Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional departments including logistics, operations, sales, accounting, shipping and receiving
Skills/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including Sharepoint
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
  • Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities
  • Able to work efficiently and with accuracy under pressure while meeting tight deadlines
  • Punctual, regular and consistent attendance, and ability to work overtime, nights and weekends
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Some travel may be required
